Bellevue Library Talking Points of Emphasis for May

This is our community's final opportunity to correspond to you - Mayor Purcell & members of the Metro Council - before the Mayor presents the budget on May 24th It is critically important to remember that the needs for library improvements in Bellevue/Goodlettsville/Watkins Park are capital items that have no impact on this year's Operating Budget Capital funding for Bellevue/Goodlettsville/Watkins Park completes the needs in the near future for our Library system as a whole and insures that Nashville does indeed have a world-class library system As a capital expenditure, is there any bridge, road, other public building or sidewalk that has more demonstrated community support than the Bellevue Library? Mayor Purcell, during your previous campaigns, you pledged to be the “Neighborhood” Mayor - our communities are counting on you to fulfill this pledge. An adequate community library is a necessity for Nashville's great neighborhoods!!!
